Minori is called "Città del gusto"
One of the main features of Minori, on Amalfi Coast, is the smell of orange blossoms and the main colour is the yellow of lemon trees, one of the typical colours of Amalfi Coast. Visiting Amalfi Coast means having the possibility to visit its beautiful towns, one of them is Minori.
The name Minori was chosen to distinguish this town from the near one, Maiori: they were “Reginna Maior”, later Maiori and “Reginna Minor”, later Minori.
Minori is called Città del gusto, that is “the town of taste”, in fact during the summer there is an interesting event, called “Gusta Minori”, to taste typical products and dishes. This event attracts many people from the province of Salerno and from the whole Amalfi Coast. In this occasion you will taste the typical local dishes, such as cakes and liqueur made using lemons.

In Minori there is a beautiful fountain, called ‘Fontana Moresca dei Leoni’: the symbol of this fountain, the lion, aimed to strengthen the faith; the lions of the fountain were at the entrance of a church as an admonishment for all those who didn’t have a strong Christian faith.
